Aarhus to Odden ferry prices
One fare covers the whole car and up to nine people. Between the cheapest and the most expensive ticket there is a gap of DKK 701.

One thing changes the whole calculation: you pay per vehicle, and up to nine people can travel in it. A driver alone and a full car with seven passengers pay exactly the same. Anyone comparing this crossing with a train ticket or a coach seat has to allow for that.

All three cover the vehicle and up to nine people, and all three put you on the same ship. The difference is the price and what you can still change afterwards.
Lowprice, called Lavpris on the Danish site, is the cheapest ticket, and Molslinjen lists it as for cars up to 1.85 m. That is the catch most comparisons miss: a roof box or a roof-mounted bike rack lifts an ordinary car out of that category and into a dearer one. The price also moves with demand and sells out on the busiest sailings, and you can move it to another sailing for a fee but get no money back.
Standard costs roughly twice as much, DKK 524 against DKK 249, and gives you nothing extra on board. It buys two things: free rebooking up to the original departure, and cancellation for a fee. That is useful if your date is not fixed.
BlueClass is the only ticket that changes the crossing itself. It gives access to the Business Lounge, with a water and the day’s newspaper included, and you drive on and off first. It costs DKK 950, can be used for any departure within 12 months of purchase, and is refundable. That suits people who use the route regularly, less so a one-off holiday trip.

Without a car
- Kombardo Expressen coach, Aarhus bus station to Odden, from DKK 109 per person. The bus drives aboard the ferry, so you get the crossing as part of the fare. Bicycle space can be added for a fee; prams travel free.
- Foot passenger with a bicycle: the bicycle itself is free. See by bike.
- Turkort is Molslinjen’s multi-trip card: you buy a number of crossings up front and draw on them per trip. It exists in Standard and Business BlueClass versions and can be shared with others. Worth pricing if you cross more than a few times a year.

Ticket against toll says very little. Compare the whole trip, because the ferry saves you about 188 kilometres of driving.

The assumptions behind these numbers
- Petrol at DKK 15 a litre. Danish pump prices in August 2026 ran between roughly DKK 14.90 and DKK 16.70.
- Consumption of 6.5 litres per 100 km. An electric car narrows the gap sharply; a caravan widens it.
- About 302 km over the bridge, against about 5 km to the terminal plus 109 km from Odden.
- Lowprice moves with demand and is not always available.
