No cookie is set before you agree. Below is the full list of what exists, who sets it and how long it lasts.

The short version
Decline the banner and this site sets no cookies at all beyond the single record of your choice, which is stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
Accept, and we load Google Analytics, and Google sets its cookies. Ask for a map or a booking module, and that company sets its own.
What a cookie is here
A small file a website stores in your browser. Some are set by us, some by other companies whose content appears on a page. The rules are the same either way: nothing that is not strictly necessary may be set without your agreement, and you must be able to withdraw that agreement.

You cannot switch this one off: without it we would have to ask you on every page. It holds your choice and nothing else, and it is never transmitted.
Analytics, only after consent

Without your consent we do not load the Google Analytics script at all. Most sites that describe themselves as using Consent Mode still load it and send cookieless pings with your IP address. We do not. See the privacy policy.
Components from other companies, only when you ask
Some pages contain a map or a booking module provided by another company. These stay behind a placeholder until you press the button on it.

If a booking is attributed to this site through one of these, we may receive a fee. That is set out in the disclaimer.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. The banner reopens and you can accept or decline again. Declining removes consent for anything that is not necessary.
You can also clear cookies in your browser. That removes the record of your choice as well, so the banner appears again.
